Blood Red Throne is a Norwegian death metal band from Kristiansand, founded in 1998 by guitarist Daniel "Død" Olaisen, who had previously played live with Satyricon. Widely regarded as one of Norway's most consistent death metal acts, the band draws heavily on the Florida death metal tradition while carving out a sound of their own - twelve studio albums deep and still going. Founder Olaisen is the only permanent member; the current lineup has been stable since vocalist Sindre Wathne Johnsen joined in 2023.
Blood Red Throne released their 12th studio album, Siltskin, on 5 December 2025 via Soulseller Records.
Blood Red Throne performed at Hellfest Open Air in Clisson, France in June 2026.
