Australian punk rock legends Cosmic Psychos take the stage at Debaser Nova. The band has inspired Nirvana and Pearl Jam since 1982.
Cosmic Psychos are an Australian punk rock band from Melbourne, active since 1982, built around bassist and vocalist Ross Knight. Their fuzzed-out, wah-heavy sound has stayed stubbornly unchanged across twelve studio albums, and bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Mudhoney have all pointed to them as a key influence on the Seattle grunge scene.
Cosmic Psychos released their 12th studio album 'I Really Like Beer' on 7 November 2025, kicking off a 41-date Australian tour the same day.
The 'I Really Like Beer' Australian tour continued into early 2026, with Dune Rats drummer BC Michaels returning to the drum seat from New Year's Day.
The band embarked on a UK and European tour in April 2026, with dates across Nottingham, Glasgow, Manchester, London, Brighton, Haarlem and further cities on the continent.
Ross Knight launched a podcast, 'How Ya Goin?' (with Dr Knighty), featuring conversations with musicians including Donita Sparks (L7) and Eamon Sandwith (The Chats).
The album 'I Really Like Beer' was recorded as a duo by Knight and McKeering, produced by Paul Maybury, after longtime drummer Dean Muller left due to shoulder surgery.
