Kullervo

About

Kullervo is a symphonic work for soprano, baritone, male chorus and orchestra by Jean Sibelius, composed in 1892. It draws on the tragic story of Kullervo from the Finnish national epic Kalevala and marked Sibelius's breakthrough as a composer. The piece is one of his most ambitious large-scale works.
