About

Rival Sons are an American rock band from Long Beach, California, formed in 2009 around guitarist Scott Holiday and vocalist Jay Buchanan. Drawing heavily on 1970s hard rock and blues, they built a reputation as a relentless live act and earned two Grammy nominations for their 2019 album Feral Roots. Their catalog now spans eight studio albums, including the companion pair Darkfighter and Lightbringer (2023), released on Dave Cobb's Low Country Sound imprint via Atlantic Records.
