The Fleshtones 50 years
The Fleshtones marks its 50th anniversary with a concert at ENCORE in Sundbyberg.
The Fleshtones are a garage rock band from Queens, New York, active without interruption since 1976 - making them one of the longest-running acts to emerge from the original CBGB scene. The core lineup of vocalist/keyboardist Peter Zaremba and guitarist Keith Streng has held since the start, with drummer Bill Milhizer and bassist Ken Fox rounding out a stable four-piece since 1990. They coined the term 'Super Rock' for their own blend of garage, R&B, soul and psychedelia, and have built a devoted following across the US and Europe - particularly in France, Spain and Scandinavia.
The Fleshtones are celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2026 and continue to reject the oldies circuit, touring actively with new material.
The band completed a France tour in May 2026, playing cities including Paris, Rouen, Strasbourg, La Rochelle and Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie.
The Fleshtones played US dates in June 2026, including shows in Berwyn, IL and Madison, WI alongside The New Duncan Imperials.
The Fleshtones released their album 'It's Getting Late (…and More Songs About Werewolves)' on November 1, 2024 via Yep Roc Records.
Frontman Peter Zaremba described the new album as still exciting and a challenge after 48 years of recording.
