The Lords of Altamont are a garage rock band from Los Angeles, formed in late 1999 by vocalist Jake "The Preacher" Cavaliere after his previous band The Bomboras dissolved. Their sound draws on '60s garage and psychedelic rock, American punk, British R&B and biker-film imagery - and past lineups have included members of The Cramps, The Fuzztones and the MC5. Now on their eighth studio album, they remain one of the most relentlessly touring acts in the underground rock circuit, with a particularly loyal following in Europe.
