Wilmer X is a Swedish rock band from Malmö, formed in 1977 under the name Wilmer Pitt and active ever since under frontman and co-founder Nisse Hellberg. Rooted in punk and garage rock but with a knack for sharp pop hooks, they broke through nationally with the 1988 chart-topper 'Teknikens under' and have released over 20 albums across a career spanning nearly five decades. After a long hiatus, the band returned in 2022 with the #1 album 'Mer för dina pengar', followed by the acclaimed SVT documentary 'Wilmer X - När tiden stannar' (2025) and a new album, 'Popmonster', in May 2026.
