A Flame for Lena Nyman
Bagarmossens Folkets hus, Stockholm
The performance warmly and humorously portrays Lena Nyman's life and career - from the shy six-year-old in Kristineberg sent to drama school, to the beloved actress equally at home in light comedy and profound drama.
Lena Nyman carried both light and darkness within her. When she realized she did not have long to live, she donated her diaries, photographs, and letters to the Swedish Theatre Museum. The performance is built on her own words from the notes she left behind.
Cast: Anna Bromee. Script: Anna Bromee (with excerpts from Jonas Gardell's "Hell is Memory Without the Power to Change"). Direction: Hedvig Claesson. Musicians (pre-recorded): Carina E Nilsson, Jenny Tidquist-Karlsson, Henrik Bromée & Anna Bromee.
