Maksim Segmenti

Crossover pianist MAKSIM comes to Sweden for 5 concerts as part of the SEGMENTI World Tour - a tour featuring over 100 performances across 4 continents. MAKSIM has won the MTV Music Awards and top prizes at international music competitions, and has sold over 5 million albums worldwide.

The programme features works from his 12th studio album SEGMENTI alongside pieces that have defined his career: music by Chopin, Prokofiev and Tchaikovsky alongside fresh interpretations of songs by Queen and ABBA in rock-influenced arrangements. Earlier albums include performances of "Exodus", "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Game of Thrones".

One of the highlights is "Prokofiev's Fantasy" from SEGMENTI - a unified composition that brings together three Prokofiev works: the Toccata, lyrical themes from Romeo and Juliet (arranged by John Lenahan) and the coda from Piano Concerto No. 3. "This piece is among the most complex and technically difficult I have ever recorded", says MAKSIM. "I have loved the third piano concerto since childhood and have always dreamed of performing it. For the album, I decided to keep the coda exactly as written - I didn't change a single note. It's almost impossible to play, yet at the same time incredibly captivating and full of joy. I look forward to performing it live and hearing the audience's reaction!"

MAKSIM performs with his band and the concert includes stage production with visual effects.
