Violetta Takes the Bus

What happens when opera's Violetta boards a bus - seconds before she falls helplessly for Alfredo? She is dying, but now she wants to live. As familiar places pass by outside the bus window, she sings out her pain and longing.

The opera platform SAD GIRLS creates together with Riksteatern an opera where Verdi's melodies meet a contemporary electronic soundscape with new music by Joel Janson Johansen, based on a concept and new libretto by Sanna Strandberg Colling. Performance length: 1 hour.
