Alma Söderberg is known for her intricate interplay between movement and rhythm - a meeting of metric thinking and emotional physicality, with a touch of humor. In Infinétude, she draws from her first dance love and eternal source of inspiration: flamenco. A dance with the power to penetrate and play with deep feelings, where joy, sorrow, rebellion and desperation are expressed through constantly shifting rhythmic patterns in dialogue with the music.

Joy is amplified in a syncopation - a shift in emphasis within a beat, where the accent falls on an unexpected place. Sorrow rings in the voice, anger is embodied in movement, resistance is woven into melody. By stepping in and out of different rhythms, the group moves forward and finds the ability to listen, act, dance, sing and think as one.

Infinétude is Alma Söderberg's largest self-produced work to date. She performs it alongside five artists from the contemporary European dance scene, exploring music, dance, form and pattern-making in relation to emotions, healing and resistance.
