A Winter Night's Magic

Alva and Mattias Granström infuse inherited folk music with contemporary colours, linking it to the long tradition of Swedish folk music. The violin moves between traditional swing and lyrical improvisations, weaving voices around Alva's singing, while Mattias draws out melodies and spirited guitar accompaniments. In the balance between light-hearted warmth and serious depth, they let the music touch the heart in all its simplicity.

Both members have long been active on the Swedish folk music scene in groups such as Norr om Stockholm, Bjäran, Fränder and Västanå teater. After nearly a decade in Stockholm, they are now opening a new chapter in Lycksele.
