Cavalera Conspiracy is a Brazilian-American heavy metal band from Phoenix, Arizona, built around brothers Max Cavalera (vocals, guitar) and Igor Cavalera (drums) - the same duo who co-founded Sepultura in Brazil in the early 1980s. After Max left Sepultura in 1996, the brothers spent a decade estranged before reuniting in 2007 and launching the project. Their four studio albums - from the debut Inflikted (2008) through Psychosis (2017) - sit squarely in thrash and groove metal territory, and since 2022 the band has also re-recorded three early Sepultura classics under the shortened name Cavalera.
