Testament is an American thrash metal band from the San Francisco Bay Area, active since 1983 (originally as Legacy). Led by vocalist Chuck Billy and founding guitarist Eric Peterson, the band built its reputation on a run of classic albums from 1987 to 1990 and has remained a headline-level force across four decades. Their fourteenth studio album, Para Bellum, was released in October 2025 via Nuclear Blast Records.
