Colin Stetson, Stian Westerhus and Erland Dahlen take the stage at Inkonst in Malmö.
Colin Stetson is a Grammy Award-winning saxophonist and composer based in Montreal, originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan. He records entirely without overdubs or loops, using circular breathing and multiphonics to coax dense, orchestral textures from a single instrument - a technique that has made him one of the most distinctive voices in experimental music. Beyond his solo trilogy New History Warfare and subsequent albums, he has scored films and games including Hereditary, Red Dead Redemption 2 and The Menu, and collaborated with Arcade Fire, Bon Iver and Tom Waits.
Stetson's soundtrack for the Netflix horror miniseries 'Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen' was released, with the series premiering on Netflix on March 26, 2026.
A world premiere live performance of Hereditary with Stetson's score, performed by 40 members of the Wordless Music Orchestra and Stetson himself, is scheduled for October 23, 2026 in Los Angeles.
Stetson announced a North American tour in September 2026 with Scottish piper Brìghde Chaimbeul, covering Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City, Brooklyn and Boston.
Stetson toured the US in spring 2025 celebrating the release of his album 'The love it took to leave you', with dates in Texas and Arizona.
Stetson released 'The love it took to leave you' on September 13, 2024 via Envision Records, recorded live in one week at Montreal's Darling Foundry with no overdubs or loops.
