Fatboy Slim is the stage name of Norman Cook (born 31 July 1963), a British DJ and producer who was central to the big beat movement of the 1990s. His 1998 album You've Come a Long Way, Baby produced global hits including "The Rockafeller Skank", "Praise You" and "Right Here, Right Now", and his Grammy-winning video for "Weapon of Choice" - directed by Spike Jonze and starring Christopher Walken - became a cultural landmark. Cook began his career as bassist for indie band The Housemartins before moving to Brighton and reinventing himself through Beats International, Freak Power and eventually Fatboy Slim.
Fatboy Slim is scheduled to headline four nights on Brighton Beach in July 2026, returning to the site of his legendary Big Beach Boutique concerts.
