Grimner is a Swedish folk metal band from Motala, founded in 2008, whose music weaves Scandinavian folk melodies and instruments together with Gothenburg-style melodic death metal and classic heavy metal. All lyrics are sung in Swedish, drawing on Norse mythology, Viking history and Swedish folklore. Their 2016 album 'Frost Mot Eld' (Despotz Records) broke them to a wider European audience, and four full-length albums have since earned the band festival stages across the continent.
