concertDirty Three at Debaser Strand
Australian instrumental trio Dirty Three performs at Debaser Strand with new material from their latest album Love Changes Everything.
Jim White (born 1962, Melbourne) is an Australian drummer, songwriter and producer, best known as co-founder of the instrumental rock trio Dirty Three, which he formed in 1992 with violinist Warren Ellis and guitarist Mick Turner. His playing - expressive, rhythmically unpredictable, and deeply collaborative - has made him one of the most sought-after drummers in indie and experimental music, with credits alongside PJ Harvey, Cat Power, Nick Cave, Bonnie Prince Billy and many others. Beyond Dirty Three, he has worked in the duo Xylouris White with Cretan lute player Giorgos Xylouris, and in The Hard Quartet with Stephen Malkmus. In 2024-2025 he released his first two solo albums, stepping out as a vocalist for the first time.
Jim White released his second solo album, Inner Day, on October 24, 2025 via Drag City, produced with Guy Picciotto; it marks his debut as a vocalist.
Jim White's official website announced that Dirty Three will play shows in Europe and the UK in October/November 2026.
Jim White's website announced he will join Bill Callahan on the My Days of 58 tour across the US, UK, and Europe.
