About

Smokie are an English rock band from Bradford, Yorkshire, who broke through in the mid-1970s after teaming up with songwriters Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman. Their catalogue of melodic pop-rock hits - 'Living Next Door to Alice', 'Lay Back in the Arms of Someone', 'If You Think You Know How to Love Me' - sold over 30 million records worldwide and made them particularly popular across Scandinavia and Germany. Despite numerous lineup changes over six decades, the band has kept touring continuously and remains a fixture on European stages.
