Legendary rock band Smokie brings their classic hits to Partille arena in Göteborg.
Smokie are an English rock band from Bradford, Yorkshire, who broke through in the mid-1970s after teaming up with songwriters Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman. Their catalogue of melodic pop-rock hits - 'Living Next Door to Alice', 'Lay Back in the Arms of Someone', 'If You Think You Know How to Love Me' - sold over 30 million records worldwide and made them particularly popular across Scandinavia and Germany. Despite numerous lineup changes over six decades, the band has kept touring continuously and remains a fixture on European stages.
Smokie released a new studio album titled 'Broken Dreams' in July 2025.
The band marked 50 years of activity with anniversary concerts and celebrations in 2025.
Smokie performed at Kulttuuritalo in Helsinki, Finland on 13 March 2025.
Founding bassist Terry Uttley, the last surviving original member still active in the band, passed away on 16 December 2021 at age 70 following a short illness.
Pete Lincoln joined Smokie as lead vocalist in April 2021, replacing the retiring Mike Craft; Lincoln previously fronted The Sweet and Sailor.
