Blåst på Julkonfekten

Dan Johansson and Tess Paulsen have worked in theatre, film and television for over thirty years, the last fifteen often together. From their collaboration came DanTess Teater, and from a conversation about the anxieties of holiday planning was born the production Blåst på semestern - about a middle-aged couple whose week in the countryside doesn't go as planned. It toured across the country, from Skåne to Norrbotten, and after its premiere at Gothenburg City Theatre in April 2023, the theatre immediately commissioned a Christmas version.

Blåst på Julkonfekten premiered in December 2024. This time Kattis and Matte are celebrating Christmas in a mountain cabin - seven days in a snowy paradise - but their visions of how the week should unfold differ on virtually every point.

The production is an everyday comedy with elements of improvisation and is highly interactive. It appeals equally to those who rarely go to the theatre and to those who do so regularly.
