After work concert with MSO
175 kr · ≈ $18
Thursday is after-work day - celebrate it in the concert hall with Malmö Symphony Orchestra's wind section and a glass of wine in hand.
The programme opens with Mozart's "Gran Partita", the work that Salieri in the film "Amadeus" describes like this: "This was no work of a trained ape. This was music I had never heard before. Filled with such longing, such an unfulfilled longing. It felt to me as if I heard God's voice." Next comes Sultani Yegâh Sirto, a wind arrangement based on one of Turkey's most beloved traditional musical pieces, and Cat Suite by Englishman Chris Hazell - a collection of jazzy brass pieces inspired by the homeless cats he has cared for over the years. Hazell tells in an interview that Kraken is the only female but commands the others, and that Borage is brown and white and runs around all day long.
After the concert, the music continues in the Bistro, with DJ and guests.
