Violetta Takes the Bus

What happens when opera's Violetta boards a bus - seconds before she falls helplessly for Alfredo? She is dying, but wants to live. Violetta from Verdi's La Traviata is one of the passengers, and as familiar places pass by the bus window, she sings out her pain and longing.

The opera platform SAD GIRLS creates an intimate opera together with Riksteatern, where Verdi's melodies meet an electronic soundscape and new music by Joel Janson Johansen. The concept and new libretto are by Sanna Strandberg Colling. Performance length: 1 hour.
