Violetta Takes the Bus

Elisabeth Meyer performs Violetta tar bussen at Sveasalen in Leksand on Wednesday 28 October 2026 at 16:00. The opera platform SAD GIRLS and Riksteatern present a modern interpretation of Verdi's La Traviata, with Meyer singing the lead role of Violetta in this 60-minute opera featuring electronic music and a newly written libretto. The story unfolds on a bus - Violetta is terminally ill yet yearns to live, and as familiar places pass by the bus window, she sings out her pain and longing. This performance is one of nine Swedish dates on the tour. Admission costs 300 kronor for a regular ticket and 250 kronor for members.
