Violetta Takes the Bus

Elisabeth Meyer brings "Violetta tar bussen" to Culturen, 4:e teatern in Västerås on Friday, 30 October 2026 at 19:00. This newly created opera, developed by Operaplattformen SAD GIRLS in collaboration with Riksteatern, reimagines Verdi's La Traviata through Violetta boarding a bus and singing out her pain as electronic sounds meet familiar melodies. The production is part of a Swedish tour spanning nine dates in total. Tickets are priced at 300 kronor for regular admission and 250 kronor for members. The Västerås performance offers a distinctive opportunity to experience this contemporary take on one of opera's most poignant characters.
