NO - La Venidera

In the performance NO, former soloists of Ballet Nacional de España, Irene Tena and Albert Hernández, deepen their own creative work in the duo La Venidera. In NO they explore the friction between them and ask themselves who they are and what has shaped their path over recent years.

As part of a younger generation of flamenco dancers, they invite the audience to encounter tradition and contemporary practice through their own eyes. Among the creators is Marcos Morau, choreographer and director of the company La Veronal, who has followed the duo as an artistic mentor. The performance also features live musician Derek V Bulcke.

La Venidera's work is characterized by attention to detail, pride in craftsmanship, and an interest in silence and pause. One of the starting points for NO has been questions about absence and negation - they believe that art arises precisely from the negation of the real world.
