A Perfect Circle is an American rock supergroup formed in Los Angeles in 1999 by guitarist Billy Howerdel and Tool vocalist Maynard James Keenan. Their debut album Mer de Noms (2000) set a record as the highest-selling debut for a rock band, entering the Billboard 200 at number four. The band works in alternative metal and progressive rock, and their four studio albums - including Thirteenth Step (2003) and Eat the Elephant (2018) - have sold millions of copies worldwide.
