About

Alcazar is a Swedish nu-disco and dance-pop group formed in Stockholm in 1998, originally comprising Andreas Lundstedt, Tess Merkel and Annikafiore Kjærgaard. Their 2000 single "Crying at the Discoteque" broke them internationally - charting across Europe, Australia, Japan and the US - and the group went on to sell over 12 million records between 2001 and 2004. They have competed five times in Melodifestivalen and reunited in May 2024 as an interval act at the Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final in Malmö.
