About

BWO (Bodies Without Organs) is a Swedish electropop group formed in 2003 by Alexander Bard, Marina Schiptjenko and Martin Rolinski. The trio racked up 15 Top 40 singles in Sweden - including the chart-topping 'Temple of Love' - and five Top 10 albums, winning both the Rockbjörnen and a Grammis award for Sweden's most popular band. Beyond Scandinavia, they built a particularly strong following in Russia and other Eastern European countries.

  • 2010

    BWO announced they were going on hiatus after releasing five albums in under six years; no reunion has been publicly confirmed since.

  • 2009

    BWO broke through in Japan, China and Taiwan with the compilation album Sunshine in the Rain, specifically targeted at the Asian market.

    BWO competed in Melodifestivalen 2009 with 'You're Not Alone', their entry for the Swedish Eurovision selection.
