BWO vs Alcazar
Two Swedish pop groups face off in a DJ battle. BWO and Alcazar perform their biggest hits from the 1980s and 1990s.
BWO (Bodies Without Organs) is a Swedish electropop group formed in 2003 by Alexander Bard, Marina Schiptjenko and Martin Rolinski. The trio racked up 15 Top 40 singles in Sweden - including the chart-topping 'Temple of Love' - and five Top 10 albums, winning both the Rockbjörnen and a Grammis award for Sweden's most popular band. Beyond Scandinavia, they built a particularly strong following in Russia and other Eastern European countries.
BWO announced they were going on hiatus after releasing five albums in under six years; no reunion has been publicly confirmed since.
BWO broke through in Japan, China and Taiwan with the compilation album Sunshine in the Rain, specifically targeted at the Asian market.
BWO competed in Melodifestivalen 2009 with 'You're Not Alone', their entry for the Swedish Eurovision selection.
'Lay Your Love on Me' charted in the UK in August 2008, extending BWO's reach beyond Scandinavia and Eastern Europe.
