Armored Saint is an American heavy metal band from Los Angeles, formed in 1982 by the Sandoval brothers, singer John Bush and bassist Joey Vera. They were a driving force in the LA metal scene of the 1980s, and their 1991 album 'Symbol of Salvation' - recorded in the shadow of guitarist Dave Prichard's death from leukemia - remains one of the most respected records in US heavy metal. The current lineup has stayed intact since 1990, with Bush and Vera as its backbone.
