Christian Kjellvander (born 13 May 1976) is a Swedish singer-songwriter raised partly in Seattle, whose music sits at the darker end of indie Americana - spare arrangements, a deep baritone, and lyrics that circle mortality, love and faith. He first came to attention as frontman of the alt-country band Loosegoats before launching a solo career in 2002 that has since produced eleven studio albums on Tapete Records, several of which charted in Sweden's Top 10.
Kjellvander released his eleventh solo album, Ex Voto / The Silent Love, on Tapete Records - recorded live in a seaside summer house in southern Sweden.
The single 'Portugal' was released in November 2025 as a companion release to the album.
Americana UK reviewed Ex Voto / The Silent Love, noting its more stripped-back instrumentation compared to previous releases.
Kjellvander toured Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and Belgium in March 2026 in support of Ex Voto / The Silent Love.
