Theater Regensburg is a municipal theatre in Regensburg, Bavaria, staging opera, music theatre, spoken drama and dance. It was named Theatre of the Year 2025 in Germany, one of the country's most prestigious theatre awards. The house produced a notable staging of Lorin Maazel's opera "1984", based on George Orwell's novel.
