Stjärnmöte with Canellakis & Hadelich

Violinist Augustin Hadelich performs Bartók's Violin Concerto under the direction of Karina Canellakis. After the interval, Dmitri Shostakovich's Symphony No. 15 is performed - the composer's final symphony, one of his most enigmatic works. Playful musical quotations alternate with sudden, grave outbursts, and a ticking sound in the music is said to foreshadow Shostakovich's exhaustion in the autumn of his life.
