Polstjärnepriset 2027 — Göteborgs Konserthus, Gothenburg

Four finalists aged 14-18 compete for first prize in Polstjärnepriset Nordic Edition, accompanied by Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra. The winner receives 50,000 kronor and represents Sweden at Eurovision Young Musicians - Europe's largest competition for young classical musicians, watched by millions of TV viewers across the continent.

Polstjärnepriset is organized by the National Centre for Musical Talent with the motto "More than a competition". Alongside the competition runs a course open to young musicians up to age 20, with approximately 60 young people involved each year. The programme combines individual instruction, master classes, and performance in chamber and orchestral settings.

Participants meet for the first time during four days in the autumn half-term break, then gather again in the first week of January when the competition's three stages take place and concert preparations begin. The final concert at Gothenburg Concert Hall is the year's highlight.
