In Landscapes, dancers Viktor Fröjd and Jon Bugge Mariussen - with backgrounds in house and folk dance respectively - meet in a work where choreographer Anna Öberg draws inspiration from partner dance as a phenomenon and pulse as a medium.

Central to Öberg's artistic practice is the improvised connection between music and movement, often with live musicians on stage. In Landscapes, she has invited her long-time collaborator, sound artist Elize Arvefjord, who creates sound design in real time based on the dancers' movements - a design that amplifies, distorts, and adds to what the dancers do.

About the work, Anna Öberg says: "I have long wanted to create a piece for Viktor and Jon to let their experiences and aesthetics meet in shifting landscapes of craft and material. Two different dance practices, yet so alike. The inspiration for the work comes from my own background in partner dance, where listening to and negotiating with the other is constantly at stake."
