Violetta Takes the Bus

What happens when opera's Violetta boards a bus - seconds before she falls hopelessly for Alfredo? She is dying, but now she wants to live. As familiar places pass by the bus window, she sings out her pain and longing.

The opera platform SAD GIRLS creates together with Riksteatern an opera where Verdi's melodies meet a contemporary electronic soundscape with new music by Joel Janson Johansen and a new libretto by Sanna Strandberg Colling. The production is a co-production with SAD GIRLS and is performed in a bus. Duration: 1 hour.
