Byström and Tchaikovsky

Dobrinka Tabakova brings a classical concert to Norrlandsoperan in Umeå on Thursday, 8 October 2026. The programme opens with Tabakova's own work Orpheus' Comet, followed by Britta Byström's Halkyoniska dagar, featuring flautist Laura Michelin from Norrköping as soloist. The concert's second half is devoted to Tchaikovsky's Fifth Symphony. Norrlandsoperan is the regional opera and musical theatre venue for northern Sweden, with its own orchestra and ensemble whose productions tour regularly throughout the region. This performance is one of two Swedish dates on Tabakova's autumn 2026 tour.
