Akiko Suwanai is a Japanese violinist who won the International Tchaikovsky Competition in 1990, becoming the youngest winner in the violin category. She plays a 1714 Stradivarius and performs regularly with major orchestras worldwide. Her repertoire spans from baroque to contemporary music.
