Chuck Ragan (born 1974, Houston, TX) is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist who co-founded the Gainesville, Florida punk band Hot Water Music in 1994 - a group that became one of the most influential acts in post-hardcore. Alongside his work with Hot Water Music, he has built a substantial solo catalog rooted in acoustic folk, Americana and country, delivered in his instantly recognizable gravelly baritone. He also created the Revival Tour in 2008, a collaborative acoustic touring project that brought together rotating casts of punk, bluegrass and alt-country artists across the US and Europe.
Ragan announced the return of the Revival Tour after more than a decade, with five Germany dates in December 2026 featuring Frank Turner, Tim Barry and Ben Nichols.
Ragan performed at The Long Road Festival in Leicestershire, UK, his second European appearance of 2025.
Ragan launched the North American 'Love & Lore Tour 2025', an East Coast run spanning Richmond, Boston, NYC, Montreal and Chicago, among other cities.
Ragan released his fifth solo studio album, Love & Lore, on Rise Records - his first solo studio record since Till Midnight in 2014.
Ragan signed with Rise Records, the label that also handles Hot Water Music's releases.
