The White Buffalo is the stage name of Jake Smith, an Oregon-born, Southern California-raised singer-songwriter and baritone guitarist who has released eight studio albums since 2002. His dark, cinematic storytelling draws on folk, Americana and rock, with comparisons to Townes Van Zandt and Steve Earle. A wider audience found him through the FX series Sons of Anarchy, where his Emmy-nominated song "Come Join the Murder" closed the entire series. His music has also appeared in Californication, The Punisher, Longmire, This Is Us and the Marvel film Logan.
The White Buffalo toured the UK and Ireland in August 2025, with stops in Glasgow, Manchester and Dublin.
Live singles 'Stunt Driver (Live)' and 'Kingdom for a Fool (Live)' were released on Spotify in 2025.
