Dark Tranquillity is a melodic death metal band from Gothenburg, Sweden, active since 1989 and one of the founding acts of the Gothenburg sound. Over 13 studio albums - from the genre-defining The Gallery (1995) to Moment (2020, Swedish Grammis winner) and Endtime Signals (2024) - they have built a reputation as one of the most consistent and long-lived bands in extreme metal.
Vocalist Mikael Stanne confirmed the band is actively writing a follow-up to Endtime Signals, aiming to finish the album by end of 2026.
