Hellsongs is a Swedish acoustic band from Gothenburg, formed in 2004, who strip heavy metal and hard rock classics down to hushed folk arrangements - a style they call 'lounge metal'. Their 2008 debut album Hymns in the Key of 666 charted at number 9 in Sweden and was distributed across Europe, Russia, Japan and beyond, earning the band a devoted cult following. After a decade-long hiatus, they returned in 2024 with the album Return of the Hellsingers on Tapete Records.
Hellsongs released their fifth studio album, Return of the Hellsingers, on October 25, 2024 via Tapete Records, their first full-length in over a decade.
Autumn 2025 tour dates were announced, including a show at Nachtasyl in Hamburg on October 7, 2025.
The band released the single 'Never Again' in January 2025.
Hellsongs released their first new single in almost a decade - a cover of 'Killing in the Name' by Rage Against the Machine - on September 15, 2023, signalling their return.
