Diggiloo
Diggiloo tours Sweden in summer 2026 with Charlotte Perrelli, Maja Ivarsson and David Lindgren. A show mixing schlager, rock and humour.
Maja Ivarsson (born 2 October 1979 in Åhus, Sweden) is the lead vocalist and co-founder of the Helsingborg indie rock band The Sounds, which broke through internationally with the 2002 debut album 'Living in America' and went on to release six studio albums while touring alongside Foo Fighters, No Doubt and The Strokes. In 2025 she stepped out as a solo artist, competing in Melodifestivalen with 'Kamikaze Life' and releasing two EPs - 'Kamikaze Life' and 'Iconic' - that blend her signature new-wave guitar sound with a more electronic pop palette.
Ivarsson released her second solo EP 'Iconic' in August 2025, a four-track set blending rock anthems with pop influences.
Ivarsson performed a solo headline set at Liseberg amusement park in Gothenburg, mixing The Sounds classics with new solo material.
Ivarsson was unable to join The Sounds at the Just Like Heaven festival in Pasadena due to visa issues; the band performed without her.
Ivarsson placed 11th in the Melodifestivalen 2025 final on 8 March with her debut solo single 'Kamikaze Life', which peaked at #7 on the Swedish chart.
Ivarsson publicly discussed a relapse into substance abuse following surgery during the pandemic, saying she wanted to own her story to help break the stigma around addiction.
