Violetta Takes the Bus

Elisabeth Meyer brings "Violetta tar bussen" to Kulturhuset, Biografen (A-salen) in Sorsele on Thursday 24 September 2026 at 19:00. This newly created opera is part of a comprehensive Swedish tour with nine performances across autumn 2026. The production merges Verdi's classical melodies from La Traviata with electronic music as the opera's Violetta becomes an ordinary bus passenger. Over 60 minutes, she sings of her pain and longing while familiar landscapes pass beyond the bus window. Opera platform SAD GIRLS and Riksteatern jointly present this distinctive interpretation. Tickets cost 300 kronor for regular visitors and 250 kronor for members.
