Kent Nagano

About

Kent Nagano is an American conductor born in 1951 in California, with a wide-ranging career spanning opera and symphonic repertoire. He has led orchestras including the Berliner Philharmoniker and the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, and served as music director of the Hamburgische Staatsoper from 2015 to 2021. He has also held a guest professorship with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra.
