Violetta Takes the Bus

Elisabeth Meyer performs Violetta in the opera "Violetta Takes the Bus" at Sundsvalls Teater on Friday, 2 October 2026 at 16:00. This experimental opera is part of a nine-date Swedish tour where Meyer reimagines Verdi's classical Violetta in an entirely new setting - inside a bus. The classical building of Sundsvalls Teater on Esplanaden has served as a cultural hub in the city since the late nineteenth century. Opera platform SAD GIRLS and Riksteatern have created a new production in which Verdi's familiar melodies meet electronic music in this 60-minute performance. Tickets cost 300 kronor for regular admission and 250 kronor for members.
