Violetta Takes the Bus

Elisabeth Meyer brings the opera Violetta tar bussen to Järpens Bibliotek in Järpen, Åre, on Wednesday 30 September 2026 at 16:00. The production is a newly created opera where Verdi's classical Violetta from La Traviata encounters electronic music and contemporary expression - a character singing her pain and longing as familiar places pass by the bus window. Meyer is touring this work across nine Swedish dates in autumn 2026, from Boden in the north to Katrineholm in the south. Järpens Bibliotek provides an intimate setting for this experimental opera experience. Tickets cost 300 kronor for regular admission or 250 kronor for members.
